We, the organisers of ISNACC 2018, would hereby take this opportunity to invite you to submit your abstracts
(original research articles, case reports, case series) to participate and enhance this academic meeting.
The abstract guidelines are as follows:
Last date for abstract submission is 20th October 2017.
No further submissions will be entertained later.
Candidates whose abstract have been accepted will be intimated via e-mail by 31st October 2017.
Registration to Conference is mandatory for the presenting author.
The scientific committee reserves the right to select the abstract for presentation.
Abstracts must be original and must not have been published in any journal.
Abstracts should be submitted through online module only.
Maximum three (3) abstracts will be allowed per presenter.
Abstract content should be in English and should not exceed 250 words excluding Presenting Author &
Co-Author Names, Affiliations, Title & References.
The E Poster Presentation
Max. Allowed word count : 250 words.
Format for the abstract :
Title : To be complete, relevant, including relevant statistical terminology.
Introduction : To contain Background and Aims.
Methods : To mention ethical committee permission, patient consent, duration of study, inclusion-exclusion
criteria, sample size calculation based on power of study, randomization technique, statistical tests used
including p values, tests of comparison and version of software used, Primary and secondary study criteria
clearly defined, definitions of grades, scoring systems, confounding variables and limitations, if any, rescue
Results : To begin with demographics, study criteria/ parameters (Primary and Secondary),
limitations, if any, future scope of study)
Conclusion : To be brief and relevant.
References : Two relevant references (ONLY TWO) to be added.
What would be considered for assessment and scoring by judges :
Ability to draw inferences from the results
Ability to answer to judges queries
Begin with demographics, study criteria/ parameters (Primary and Secondary),adverse / side effects
Discussion: (IN THE FINAL E POSTER ONLY, NOT IN ABSTRACT)
Should focus on aims, study parameters/criteria, related studies with correlations,
Complications /adverse / side effects and management, confounding variables
Six (6) of the best will be selected for a podium presentation
Case report Guidelines
Max. Allowed word count : 250 words
The abstract shall contain the following, headings:
Title : Shall mention condition/management and convey what is special or unique in the report (the condition,
management or outcome)
Key Words : 3-5 relevant MeSH keywords
Introduction : What is already known related to the case report and available evidence (literature)
Case report: Brief summary of Presentation, Investigation, Preparation, Management and Outcome of the case
Conclusion : The take home message in terms of any part of case being reported such as the investigation,
preparation, management and outcome
